Reconnaissance, Round 3: Somber Interlude
As the thick veil of the smokescreen began to dissipate, the following result was unlike what Lavida expected. Her hair was pulled back by a crude robotic arm as her shining knife was placed upon her neck. The blade was held against her neck enough to feel the hard light, but not so forceful that it would slice her jugular open. The voice from behind her then began to crack.
“Did you really think you were meant to win this?” The question seemed to ooze out of the redblood’s mouth.

A podium with a microphone was raised in the breakfast hall, and the lilacblood strode in and walked up to it. He stood there, smiling slightly, before launching into his address.
"I am quite proud of those of you who remain; surviving two planets in a row is no mean feat. Don't get complacent, though, you're only halfway through."
He took a remote and activated a holographic screen on the wall, displaying the next world's terrain in 3D.

The door slid open with a gentle, quiet whoosh.
Yet, this alone was enough to attract Woltyr’s attention. Lifting his eyes from the screen, he glanced over to the newcomer. The troll, clad in his usual black and red uniform, bounced into the room. His visage, albeit hidden by a scarf, lit up with happiness.
“Ah, the meds finally wore off. I feared they knocked you out for forever!”
Woltyr cringed at the voice assaulting his ears. It was like an internet modem attempting to speak, worse than nails on a chalk board. He guessed it was meant to sound cheerful, to him it sounded terrible.

When we had 14 I asked him about that through a mote and he said he wouldn't be doing that. If he wouldn't do it with 6 extra he won't do it with 1. Me, I'm just happy he let those 3 people in who didn't meet the final deadline. Now we get an extra round!
